Pensando... / Thinking...

A very wise person once anonymously wrote, “Excellence is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles.” This statement can serve to stimulate our thoughts. A job well done does not come about out of the blue. Planning and effort have been initiated to achieve the end results.

If we are going on a vacation, the first thing we usually do is plan where we are going, what we will take with us and what exciting things we will do once we get where we are going. I find it unsettling that we put more effort and thought into planning a vacation than we do in planning our lives and future!

How often do we live our lives without a specific destination in mind? This can start at an early age. We graduate high school or college with no concrete plans for a career. This spills over into other areas of our lives. We meet that special someone and we decide to get married. Have we considered the possibility of children? What impact will children have on our careers? How many people just charge ahead without giving any thought to finances, education, and spiritual activities? These things all require planning an intelligent direction with a sincere effort for skillful execution. If we live our lives by just passing through these various phases we probably will not accomplish our goals and dreams.

Most people admit that they could live better lives achieving their full potential if they would do planning.

How often do we find ourselves wandering aimlessly around only performing a less than adequate job because we did not really plan the route to our destination. We might not be inspired by what we are doing. If we intentionally plan our future we will be more apt to fulfill our aspirations.

Our everyday skills of being a successful parent, a good spouse, employee or overall person will take focusing on those items. We will achieve skillful execution of the various aspects of our life by disciplined practice and planning. Writing down goals and tracking our progress can be very beneficial.

Napoleon Hill, in his timeless classic, “Think and Grow Rich,” recommends and promotes the “mastermind” group theory. He describes the mastermind group as any group of like-minded people assembled for the attainment of a worthwhile goal.

Directors are much like a mastermind group giving guidance and direction essential to achieve success in a corporation.  This mastermind group concentrates on an “intelligent direction.” If you are finding it difficult to execute your vision, you need to seek counsel with like-minded people to guide you in reaching your destination.

We can learn to make lemonade when we are given lemons. It takes a visionary to see an obstacle as an opportunity. Hardships serve to build our character and help us become stronger, more focused individuals.

It is our choice whether we want to live lives of mediocrity or excellence.  Planning, high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, skillful execution and the vision to see obstacles will be the tools that will bring us excellence!

I wish you a life of excellence!

The front of the Kindle 1 (Left) and Kindle 2 ...
Image via Wikipedia

Our world of technology grows by leaps and bounds. Every day there is another development in the world of technology. Some of these inventions help us expedite our workloads while others enhance our world of entertainment.

The Kindle is one of those new items. Its usefulness would fall into both categories. Not only can you load your favorite novels, newspapers and magazines but you can also use it for work files.

Macintosh and Windows users can download and transfer through the USB connection Kinddle content, personal/business documents, MP3 and Audible files. When connected to your computer’s USB port Kindle will show up as a removable mass-storage device.
The necessary system requirements are as follows:

Windows-based: Windows 2000 or later
Macintosh: Mac OS X 10.2 or later
USB port: You can use an available port or an attached USB hub with an available port

The Kindle has a built-in PDF Reader. Just think about the convenience of being able to unload the loose papers in your briefcase, such as case studies, manuals, financial statements, etc and put them all on your Kindle. This would allow you to take all your papers with you and read them on the go.

Another remarkable tool on the Kindle is the “Text-to-Speech” feature. This will read (in English) your newspapers, blogs, books or magazines to you. If you get tired of listening, you can switch back to reading. This is hands-free as when the Kindle is reading to you it automatically turns the pages. If you have a preference between a male or female voice you can make that choice. You can even adjust the speed at which the reader reads to you. You can use the Kindle to read your books to you if you are in your car. It is absolutely amazing all this device does!

If you are a person that finds it difficult to start your day without reading your paper you will really enjoy Kindle’s feature of having your newspapers automatically delivered wirelessly to your Kindle before they reach the news stands. Just think if you are traveling you will not have to rush out to pick up a paper. You can make your coffee in your room, or go to the restaurant for your breakfast and your paper will be waiting for you on your Kindle. Kindle has a 5-way controller allowing you to flip between articles. If you come across an article you want to save and reread later you have the option to clip and save the entire article to read it again later.

I know that when I first thought about using a Kindle I did not think it would work for me as I like to read with a highlighter and be able to make notes in the material I am reading. Kindle’s QWERTY keyboard allows you to add annotations to the text. Because it is digital you can edit, delete and export your notes. Do you ever lose your place when you are reading? This will not happen with the Kindle. It remembers where you left off and opens to the last page you read. This is a real time saver in itself!

If you enjoy audiobooks you can go to audible.com and have the option to download from an inventory of 50,000 titles for a three month trial cost of $7.95 a month. If you decide to stay with this service the cost increases to $14.95 per month after that. I personally enjoy audiobooks when I am spending long intervals working on the computer. You will never be at a loss for reading material.

Kindle has a high-resolution screen that boasts 16 shades of gray giving you sharp images and photos. What a convention way to carry your favorite photos.

The Kindle DX with a 9.7” diagonal E-link® is 10.4” 7.2” x 0.38” and will hold 3,500 books. The smaller version, the regular Kindle has a 6” diagonal E-link® and is 8” x 5.3” x 0.36” and holds 1,500 books. With this type of storage you can clearly see how it will lighten your load when traveling.

Your biggest decision is to decide whether you want to purchase the Kindle DX for $489.00 or the first Kindle that sells for $259.00.

I have included links to Amazon to learn more about the Kindle. Amazon also has a great service involving the Kindle. You can purchase and download books, etc. directly to your Kindle or to your PC. There is even a great assortment of Free Books. Be sure to check this out.

I hope that this information has been helpful to you in making a decision on purchasing a Kindle. After reviewing this information, I personally feel that it could be a great asset.

Happy reading!

Map of Haiti with Port-au-Prince shown
Image via Wikipedia

Primarily our blogging efforts are for creating traffic to our websites, sharing personal notes, and overall social activities.  There are those times when I use mine to share what is on my heart.  This is one of those times.

I know that the world is aware of the total devastation that the country of Haiti has suffered as a result of the recent earthquake.  Without actually being there it is truly difficult to imagine what those people are feeling.

Just think what it would be like to all of a sudden have your world, your possessions (few as they are in Haiti), your children, your parents, family members, food, water, limbs, etc. ripped from under you.  Just the thought of this horrific occurrence brings tears to my heart.

I realize that with our economy the way it is, some of us are having difficulty meeting our expenses and would find it hard to give for the relief cause for Haiti.  I was in the grocery store the other day and they asked me if I wanted to “round up” my bill for the Haiti Relief program.  I said yes, of course.  I looked at the register screen and was sad to see it was only four cents.  But even that meager amount, when coupled with other people’s four cents will add up and make a difference.  I am retired and on social security and find it a challenge to make ends meet.  This brought to my mind the story in the Bible of the widow’s mite.  (Mark 12:41-44) God will honor your giving, no matter how small it may be. He knows what is in our hearts.

The Haitian people need everything.  Perhaps a look in your closet will reveal clothes that you are no longer using.  Maybe your children have grown out of some of their clothes. There are organizations that are collecting clothing items to send to Haiti.  Whatever you can give, I know will be appreciated.

The enormous lack of all things in Haiti is something that has been going on for many years and will continue in the future.  This earthquake has only intensified the situation.  They will need our help for many months to come.

I personally know of people whose family members have been killed in this earthquake, while other family members are still among the missing.

If we have come to the bottom of our pockets and what we can financially contribute to Haiti there is still something that we can do.  We can make intercessory prayer on behalf of these people.  We can cry out to God for them to have the courage they need to go through these times, peace and understanding for the loses, especially for little children that have lost their parents and home and now find themselves living in the street with no food or water, and the list goes on.  We can pray that God will provide people to make great sacrifices and go to Haiti to help. We need to keep all those people who have gone to Haiti to provide their services in our prayers as well.   Whatever is on your heart can be given to God.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Please join with me in remembering Haiti in your prayers.

Blessings,

This is an extremely busy time of the year for everyone. It seems every December I feel I should have started the previous January so that I will have everything done on time! Of course that sounds utterly ridiculous. But in fact when you are like me and enjoy showing your love and appreciation for others in special homemade gifts at least starting planning for the projects you want to complete and setting up a schedule for completetion makes perfect sense.

The month of December is a month that is full of joy and activity for me. I am not only getting Christmas cards out in the mail to keep in touch with special people that have touched my life, but also celebrating six birthdays. Both of my daughter’s were born in December, and four of my five grandchildren have birthdays in December. One really needs to stay focused with this type of schedule.

I was just thinking how sometimes we get so caught up in all we have to do that we miss the sheer joy of the season. Every year I have a dear friend that opens her home for an annual Christmas dinner get together for three of her friends. We may go the entire year without seeing each other, but that friendship is still there waiting to be rekindled at Christmas time. That is truly when you know you have a good friend. You just pick up where you left off and it seems like no time at all has elapsed since you were last together. I am very thankful for these friends.

With technology as it is, we communicate more regularly by emails. Telephone calls are not even as frequent as they used to be. Think back to many years ago when dropping by a friend’s home to check on them and share a cup of coffee or tea and discuss what was going on in your life used to be the thing to do. Now we get on the computer and shoot an email. I have a very wise friend who doesn’t like communicating via an email. He told me once, “I don’t really know how Judy is feeling by reading an email. I can’t sense the emotion.” How very true. As it has been said, we get so caught up with high tech activities we fail to use the high touch things we used to do.

This plays a big part with those who are involved with internet marketing. People are more apt to hit the “delete” key when you are trying to share an opportunity, than if you gave them a call and personally told them about the opportunity you feel might be helpful to them. That is not to say that both methods can not be use together.

We are so busy we forget to look around at the beauty and blessings we have in our lives. I hope that you will take a deep breath and do just that …take a deep breath and look at all you you have in your life. With the economy the way it is, we all have suffered losses of one kind or another. But if we look around we will discover we really have a lot to be thankful for.

I want to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a New Year that will allow us to open our eyes and hearts to what is going on around us. We are truly blessed!

Blessings,

Holidays are just around the corner. What do holidays mean to you? They all mean something different to each of us. Before we are caught up in the chaos of Thanksgiving and Christmas let us all take a deep breath, sit and take a quiet moment to search our hearts and decide what these special days mean to us.

We all have a lot to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. The God who sits on the throne of our hearts, our families, loved ones, friends, the lives of our people in the military service, and the list goes on. It means more than turkey, all the trimmings and Grandma’s favorite pumpkin pie.

Remember those who have lost their lives for our freedom and have left families and loved ones with memories of their lives. There are those who have lost their jobs or encountered financial difficulties. A meager turkey sandwich, or no meal at all could be their meal of celebration. These people will be thankful just for having survived another day. As we give thanks let us keep each other in our prayers. Reach out to those in need. Think of ways we can bear one another’s burdens.

Now on to Christmas. With economic conditions as they are this is going to be a very stressful time for many. I hope the following will give some encouragement. This piece was written many years ago during a very difficult time in my life. I had been divorced after 12 years of marriage when my husband chose a different lifestyle, lacking financial support and feeding my 2 children on $10.00 a week. By the grace of God I am here today to help others in whatever way I can. I am recently retired and can’t financially help others, but I can be that gentle touch, or caring shoulder to cry on and show them that they are loved, not only by me, but by Jesus.

THE GREATEST GIFT

As the last faint sounds of Christmas carols fade off in the distance, and the water begins to chill around your ankles as you soak your aching feet …. What will you really recall about Christmas? What was the greatest gift?

I honestly believe that if a poll was taken as to the true meaning of Christmas, “receiving/buying gifts” and “Santa Claus” would rank as the most often answered.

Will a smile of love and appreciation cross our faces in the midst of scurrying around to find a bigger and better present for sister Sally than what brother Joe will give her; hunting down the fullest and tallest tree, and decorating our dwellings. Will we remember the real purpose of this Holiday Season, the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ? Will we stop to ponder about that baby in the manger and how His life and death has brought meaning to our lives? His life was an example of the way we are to live. He loved us so very much that He was obedient to the end, even unto death on a cross.

We seem to get so caught up in the materialistic outlook of life we lose touch with the most important gift we have to give, not only at Christmas, but every day of our lives. That gift is the gift of love. Not love as the world knows it, but as Jesus Christ lived it. Instead of, or in addition to, decorating the outside of our dwellings, we should decorate the inside of our “temples”. We should take Christmas out of our pocketbooks and put it back in our hearts!

Have a blessed Holiday and remember that Jesus is the reason for the season! ~~~

You are loved for the person you are and your love for others. Especially during these hard times you don’t have to “buy” your way into someone’s heart and wonder how you are going to pay your credit card bills. True love cannot be bought!

I hope that you will have a blessed holiday season. A loving hug or a special phone call will mean so very much to the people whose lives you have touched. You are a special person who is loved without a present in your hands.

Happy Holidays!

Time waits for no man, or woman!!  You have heard me say that procrastination can steal our motivation and dreams.  I am not about to let that happen.  It feels so wonderful to be able to be back and sharing here on my blog.

For the past few months this internet marketing grandma has been dealing with an over abundance of technical problems. I must say, I have learned much.   Thank God it appears that everything is back in working order and I now can forge ahead.  I am eternally grateful to everyone who has helped me in my great time of need.

Today has been a day involving the wearing of many hats.  It amazes me how much we can cram into a day.  Meetings, half a dozen phone calls, Skype calls, making a bank deposit, dropping off and picking up items at the library, a trip to JoAnn’s for materials I needed for my jewelry business, a stop at the grocery store, and last but not least making a custom bracelet.

I find in times when I am stretched in my energy and emotions that I can always come up with a smile and happy heart knowing that I am helping others.  That is true with whatever we find ourselves doing.  So no matter how many hats you wear, always wear a hat of “love”.  I always feel I help myself when I help others.

I recently came across a new internet marketing business opportunity that really reaches out and helps people with their internet marketing needs.  This new opportunity is Prosperity Rising.  Would you believe that you can join and have a lifetime Gold Membership and audio/visual conference room that holds up to 300 people for FREE!!

Prosperity Rising is a new site that says it guarantees more CONVERTING web visitors and online advertising with very little effort or cost.  So I decided to put it to the test…

My first impression was the site looks professional and clean, with an attractive look and feel.  It is easy to read and understand.  Joining the site was easy and painless–they do offer 2 upgrade options but they are not required to gain the benefits.

The Members’ Area is very well laid out and intuitive–I could figure out what to do after only a few minutes and was able to get up and running in less than 5 minutes.  Inside the site, you create links and ads–the links you simply enter any URL links you use into the generator and it transforms them into “Prosperity Rising” links.  You create ads for anything you want to promote using the Prosperity Rising Ad Generator, which is very easy to use.  You can create as many links and as many ads as you like.  And they are organized in a logical way–links are displayed in the order you create them but also your 5 most recent links appear on the main page for quick reference.  Also, since the link generator is the tool you’ll use most, it is also right at the top of the main page when you login.  Very smart!

After you’ve created at least 1 link and 1 ad you can start to generate traffic.  Just use and promote the new Prosperity Rising link instead of the original source link you had.  Every time the Prosperity Rising link is clicked, the page loads followed by a cool slide-up ad window at the bottom.  It displays an ad PLUS an image with your affiliate link that goes back to Prosperity Rising.  So if anyone clicks the Prosperity Rising image they see the site, and if they signup they become your referral.  It’s a great viral feature because you can build referrals without even trying to just by using the site.

Now every time the ad window displays (your Prosperity Rising links get clicked) you earn credits that get YOUR ad displayed in the ad windows when other members’ links get clicked.  So the more clicks, the more times your ads get displayed.

And this works virally–meaning as you make referrals into Prosperity Rising (either by promoting it or just using it and visitors click the Prosperity Rising image on the ad window to join) you also earn ad credits on THEIR link clicks.  And this works up to 5 levels deep.  So you can create a massive amount of free ad views and web traffic by referring others to Prosperity Rising also.

I didn’t get to test the full effect of a big downline yet (I just got the tool) but I can tell you the rest of the site works exactly as stated–my links got clicked, I earned credits, and my ads got displayed.  Prosperity Rising even tracked my results so I know how many clicks and how many ad displays.  That was an impressive unadvertised extra feature.

There is one more benefit and feature which might be the best of them all–downline emailing.  You can email your downline with offers, promotions, or whatever you like, and here is where Prosperity Rising really shines.  They took time to make the emailing often enough that it’s valuable as a user, but no so often that it’s a burden to your downline.  But the best part about this feature (and actually the credit earning too) is that it tells you exactly how long until you can mail again.  Now THAT’s cool.

Overall I have to say I am impressed with Prosperity Rising.  It is simple yet powerful, and delivers on its promises.  Highly recommended to anyone who wants to increase traffic and advertising.

If you think you would like to be part of a community of like-minded people , receive awesome training and be provided an arsenal tools to help you succeed, please check out Prosperity Rising.  Don’t forget you can sign up for FREE!  Keith Carberry, one of the co-owners, has a meeting Monday through Friday at 10:00 AM EST called “Coffee With Keith.” Please join us.  You are always welcome.  This time is spent answering questions and sharing all of the tools you have in Prosperity Rising.

I hope you are happy and successful and I look forward to your return.

Have an awesome day!

Blessings,

Judy

Murmuring is no better than mutiny in the heart; it is a rising up against God. When the sea is rough and unquiet, it casts forth nothing but foam: when the heart is discontented, it casts forth the foam of anger, impatience, and sometimes little better than blasphemy. Murmuring is nothing else but the scum which boils off from a discontented heart.” – Thomas Watson

This is truly a profound statement. My daughter and I both love quotes that can make a difference in our lives and the way we look at things. This is really one of those quotes.

As a grandparent endeavoring to become successful in a home based internet marketing business I have just come out of two weeks that I feel blessed not to have resorted to “murmuring”! Believe me there were times I was tempted.

Two weeks ago I was showered with grave computer problems. Problems had been mounting over the past 3 – 4 months. As the result of a constantly crashing/shutting down laptop. I spent MANY hours on the phone with Technical Support. I really think they thought I was just a complaining person who didn’t recognize crashing from videos on YouTube! That was until one of the service technicians was remotely checking out the system and it crashed while he was doing his thing.  That was their “Aha moment” and they decided it needed to be sent in to be repaired.

I have another desktop PC that had decided to separate ways with my Internet Service. When my laptop was shipped off I resorted to checking out the problems with this computer. After spending about an hour on the phone with my ISP Provider I was told my computer was not communicating with the network. (As if I didn’t already know that!) I ended up having to take the PC to my local computer repair. Within an hour and $90.00 later I was back online. Thank you Charles!

Now I am playing catch up! It is amazing how far behind you can get without being able to access the internet. It is not only a financial burden, but it is a productivity problem.

I am most grateful to have recently signed up with PM Marketing/ NetworkLeads. Thanks to their phenomenal services my business was in good hands and leads were taken care of and emails were sent out on my behalf keeping things going. I am truly impressed with not only the numerous services, but the quality of service they provide.

My primary business is Ultra International. I must say that even being without computer access I was able to call in for training meetings and opportunity calls. The websites that are provided kept things running smooth as silk. People that were being directed there from PM Marketing/ Network Leads were able to sign up and business went on as usual. My biggest inconvenience was not being able to call my prospects and new members. To me that is extremely important.

As I am digging out from all I have to catch up on, I just wanted to take a moment to say that in the midst of our hardest situations, we can always find a blessing. To often we focus on the problem instead of the opportunity it is presenting to us.

I am hoping for a quick solution to my laptop problem. In the meantime I am grateful for my “old” PC.

Hope your days are trouble free. If you encounter a problem be sure to look for the blessing!

Blessings,

As a grandparent involved in internet marketing I am taking the license to relate my home business with gardening.  I hope you don’t mind!

When this time of the year rolls around my thoughts start to wander to spring time.  I think about the types of flowers and vegetables I want to grow and where I will plant them.

It occurred to me today that we have other gardens in our lives.  They don’t all exist on the outside in the sunshine.  They don’t all involve fertile soil.

Some of our plantings are in our heads and involve our thoughts, visions and dreams.  These are watered not by the rain or garden hose, but by our attitudes, love for others and hard work.

I think that when we have unkind thoughts about someone we have got to be producing some pretty ugly weeds!  When we get involved with a project that in our hearts we know will not glorify God, we can rest be assured that we will produce some horrific vegetation.  Maybe something along the lines of the Venus Fly Trap that will cause others to stumble.

I got to thinking about my internet marketing business.  Let’s face it, there are a lot of scams out there.  Being a grandparent in the midst of all this internet technology I am always trying to learn and be sure that I am not involved with something that will not be productive and beneficial.

I appreciate the pay it forward principle.  There have been many people in this vast internet marketing industry that have given of their time and expertise to me.  I want to be able to do the same.

About six months ago I was introduced to the Crazy Foxes Marketing Group.  This is a remarkable group of leaders in the industry that are always there to help others.  Success truly blooms in this group.

I have also become involved with Veretekk.  Tom Pendergast and Mike Darling, the owners of this company, are always striving to make the systems better for the people in their programs.  When you attend a meeting and listen to Tom there is never a doubt that he has a heart for God and the people in his company.  Veretekk is making some awesome improvements and they have waived the fee to upgrade to Gold from a Silver membership until April 1st.  This is a savings of $100.00.  I have been in internet marketing for several years and am totally amazed at the services Veretekk provides us to become successful with our businesses.  I must say at this point, if you are part of Veretekk you are going to have a celestial garden and produce good fruit!!

Veretekk provides video tutorials for all aspects of their many programs.  I have never found myself wondering, “What do I do now”, where there hasn’t been a tutorial I could look at.  They also provide live training.

I think it is important that we appreciate life for what it is without expectations of what we think it should be.  Disappointment is inevitable but discouragement is a choice.  We have the ability to rid our lives, inside and out, of ugly weeds.  That way we will have more time to smell the roses!!

I wish you great success minus the weeds!

I am a single grandparent surving the economy with a home based internet marketing business. There are many hardships in our lives nowadays. We are all being wounded left and right in one way or another.

There are many ways you can be wounded. Some instances are physically, mentally, financially or emotionally. Which do you dread the most? Seriously, I am concerned and asking this question so that you can answer it. We are called to bear one another’s burdens! I am serious. In hards times like these we need to be looking out for each other. Even if we see a stranger in need, we should stop and help them.

I have been wounded several times physically in car accidents. Actually one of my last accidents made the hairs on my arms stand at attention. I was on my way home from listening to a friend perform and an opossum crossed the road in from of me. I was approximately two blocks from home. I looked back over my shoulder to see if the critter was safe and when I turned back to the road my car was perfectly centered on a very large concrete utility pole. When I came to in the hospital the next morning I remembered a man dragging me out of my car and trying to revive me in his house with wet wash clothes. I also remembered walking towards my dad and he said to me, “You can’t come now you have your mother and two girls to look after.” I had just gotten divorced after being married for 12 years. My dad had passed away 11 years before. I was told I was very fortunate to be alive and I don’t doubt that in the least.

People are wounded mentally on a daily basis. Domestic mental abuse, parentalm ental abuse, and just the overall stress of trying to make ends meet in our everyday lives can wound us mentally. I personally would take physical wounding over mental wounding. The scars are not visible with mental wounding but they can last a lifetime. I find mental exhaustion more extensive than physical exhaustion. What do you think?

With the economic crisis in our country, currently many people are suffering financial wounding. There are numerous corporate people who have devoted their lives to their jobs who are now facing layoffs. I was laid off over two years ago. It is difficult to replace a job that you have worked many years at, climbing the ladder and developing capabilities with a similar position. You can always step down and toss all of your expertise you have worked so hard to acquire aside and work at a supermarket, restaurant, or retail store. There most definitely is nothing wrong with those jobs, but in developing your skills you have also climbed the compensation ladder. Your income will not reflect all the skills that you have worked very hard to learn if you are forced to step down and take a different position to help make ends meet. It is especially wounding to be the sole earner in your household. My heart and prayers go out to people who have families to support. When the main supporter in a household has to take on another job (for a total of two) this could cause wounding in all of the areas mentioned above….physically, mentally, financially and emotionally. Because of the many hours this person will need to work to support his family this suffering is also passed on to the other members of the family.  They will have less time for their spouse, their children or even just relaxation time for themself.  This can create an enormous amount of stress.  Everyone ends up feeling like the victim.

If you have been laid off, forced to take an early retirement or just need to make additional income perhaps you would interested in internet marketing business opportunities. I took an early retirement and am enjoying working online at home. If you chose this route, take advantage of the many tools out there. I am a member of the Crazy Foxes Marketing Group. I have shared this before, but this is a group of sincere professionals in the industry. They have all helped this grandparent develop skills I never knew I could learn. The Crazy Foxes recently released a new FREE report titled “DAM-IT“. If you are contemplating an internet marketing business opportunity I would highly recommend you read this report first.

Granted not everything on the internet is legit. One business I’ve discovered is Veretekk. It is a definite breath of fresh air. Tom Pendergast and Mike Darling, the owners, have hearts for the people involved with their company. They sincerely care and want to see their people successful. Their system is very powerful. Then there is the New Plan Network that offers a plethora of services. If you are going into a business where you need to track your results you will want to check into NPN and also ProTracker Plus. Both provide services that will be highly beneficial to you.

I wish you and your family solutions to your problems and healing for your wounds, whatever species they may be.

Blessings,
Judy Conway

I sometimes find myself being too serious. For this reason I thought I’d start this week off with a real life story. Trust me, it was not funny at the time, but it wasn’t long before it produced many a chuckle. It is in reflecting back on times like these that I am so very grateful for my online internet business opportunities with the Crazy Foxes Marketing Group.

After my oldest daughter graduated high school in Boca Raton, Florida we decided to move back up north. I had been divorced for approximately nine years. My youngest daughter still had one more year of high school to complete, but we were all in agreement that it was time to make a change. Our plan was to drive first to Maine where I would help my brother in his restaurants and then move to Vermont in time for school in the fall.

As a single mom I did not have the money to pay for a mover so we loaded all of our worldly possessions on the biggest U-Haul Truck available. (24 ft – 27 ft) It was huge. There was not a smidge of space left. It was so packed that when I came across my jewelry box I asked my girlfriend for a Ziploc bag, dumped my jewelry in it, tossed the box in the trash and threw the bag under the seat of the truck.

Now in order to get the full picture of this escapade imagine this sight. A 48 year old single mom, two teenage daughters, a Shitzu/Pekingnese, two cats, a parakeet, and a blue headed Amazon parrot in the cab of the truck. I was towing my Toyota Celica which was packed with suitcases, etc. and also carried a very precious cargo….our Doberman/Dalmatian mix and our black Lab.

As we said our goodbyes, cried and jumped up into the truck I found myself thinking, “What are you doing?” I started the engine and we were off. I had a constant conversation going with Jesus. And thank God He had us in the palm of His hand.

It wasn’t long before my fears were confirmed. Only three of the five gears worked on the truck. The air conditioner was less efficient than us blowing on each other, (and this was the middle of July) and the radio did not work. Teenagers on this type of a journey are disgruntled enough without having music!!

We hadn’t gotten out of Florida before the truck had a muffler problem. I pulled over to a rest area. A repairman came out and it wasn’t long before we were back on our way. His comment, “I am sure glad you are leaving my territory, this truck isn’t road worthy” distressed me to say the least.

We traveled I-95 up the east coast. I got off at one point to get gas and it was one of those crazy places where you had specific turn lanes to get back on. I found a gas station, but for the life of me I could not find my way back to I-95. It was after 10 PM. I turned down one street and it went up a hill and dead ended. I developed a true admiration for truck drivers on that trip!! I managed to get turned around with the truck tipping and the girls crying hysterically. More than once I heard, “Mom this is the stupidest thing you have ever done.” After turning around I set at the stop sign in tears myself at this point.

Out of nowhere a man hopped up on my side of the truck and asked if we needed help. I had him tell me at least five times how to get back to I-95 and as he got down and started walking towards the back of the truck I watched in my side mirror as he disappeared in mid air. Whether you believe in angels or not, I know this was my angel!

It was very difficult driving this truck towing my car. I was constantly afraid that I was going to wipe my car out or back into someone else. One time when we were at a traffic light I asked my daughter to just put her hand out the window and motion people around us. Her comment to me was, “Mom he just gave me the finger.”

We had just gone over the Baltimore Bridge and there was a lot of road construction. I watched as the lights on the dash all started to dim. I did some fast navigating and got the truck and my car between the big construction barrels before it just died. It was 2:00 AM.

It wasn’t long and a state trooper stopped by to see if he could help. I asked him to please call U-Hall to let them know we had broker down. This trooper stopped back every hour to check on us. Being on the road for over 36 hours in July heat, and now it was raining I made sure that I stood a distance from his car to speak with him. I would’ve given anything for a shower at that point.

I finally went back to sit in my car with the dogs. At least they wouldn’t be disgruntled with me. In about an hour my daughter came back to tell me that one of the cats had gotten out. She’d put the window down too far. So I was walking through tall grass on the side of the road calling for the cat. I was so happy when I saw her little head popping above the grass meowing and running towards me.

U-Haul didn’t come out to help us until 9 AM. I was informed that the truck would have to be towed to their garage and they would put us up for the night. I discovered the hotel they booked for us did not take pets. I was told, “You can lock them up in our garage and put some food and water down for them.” NOT going to happen!!

I got on the phone and found a Holiday Inn that took pets. We had to take some stuff out of the car so we could fit in it to drive to the hotel. I got lost on the way. While stopping at a gas station to ask directions I heard the flutter of little wings go by my ear. Somersault the parakeet would now reside at the Merit station. To my amazement when we arrived at the Holiday Inn it was not one you drove up to your room. We proceeded to take 3 dogs, 2 cats, a parrot, litter box and suitcases through the lobby onto the elevator and up to our room. What a sight we must’ve been. It was so wonderful to get off the road and get a shower!!

The next day we were back on the road and on our way to Maine. Thank God nothing else happened. To the rhythm of the tires I kept praying and saying, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” His Word will never come back void.

We did have problems on the New Jersey Turnpike….they don’t allow trucks like we were in!! I had to turn around across 5 lanes of traffic and take US1 past New York City. One point we made the wrong turn and I ended up driving in New York City. A truck pulled up alongside of us with some Mexican guys. They said to us, “Perros, and made panting noises and told us they thought the dogs were going to die.” It was so hot. They did have water and the windows were down quite a bit, but I was very worried about them.

When we arrived in Maine there was a U-Haul truck off the road turned over. We were all very thankful to be safe.

I wish that I had been blessed with a business opportunity that I have now with the Crazy Foxes Marketing Group back then. I would’ve given anything to be able to work at home and be there for my daughters when they got home from school. Nowadays, your office is anywhere with internet marketing.

I hope that you have gotten a smile or two out of this writing. It just proves that God never gives us more than we can handle. And most important to remember is that He always is there to go through it with you!!

Blessings,

Judy Conway
